This just appeared on Facebook- from Donnies son- Lost another good friend from Lanier class of 1957 Mike McCrary is with Dianne McCrary and Ernest McCrary. · It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my beloved father, Ernest McCrary's, passing. He passed in the early afternoon on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. He was 84. A true Renaissance man, Dad was as competitive as he was adept in fixing anything that dared to break. Ernest was a jack-of-all-trades and a master of many  from being a pilot, businessman, and the unofficial 'MVP' at my sports games (both on and off the field as my coach) to gifting me my first truck. His logic and advice were so sharp they could cut through my confusion. His generosity was unmatched. Dad, you taught me everything except how to live without you. Thanks to you, I've grown into the man I am today, and I am eternally grateful. You've left us with a legacy of determination, wisdom, and an unfillable pair of shoes. I will miss your jokes, guidance, and uncanny ability to fix anything - except, perhaps, this hole in my heart.
