 SIDNEY LANIER Class of 1957 - Latest News 03-16-2014 - John(Johnny) Gilbert passed away 11 March 2014 John passed away on March 11, 2014 in Pensacola, Florida.John graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1957. He then graduated from Auburn University in 1962. John was a long time resident of northern Virginia. Â He spent 30 years in government service with the last 5 at the Pentagon with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense. He moved to Perdido Key, Florida in 2003. Â Survivors include: Â his wife Anna of 27 years: Children: Joanna: Â Carolynn: Stepson Russ: Â Stepson Eric and eighteen grandchildren.
